Smartbooks Online was founded by Rowan Grant and Jason Andrew, both Chartered Accountants based in Brisbane, Australia. Working in accounting, taxation and advisory for SMEs, they were sick of constantly seeing costly inefficiencies and frustrations faced by both business owners and accountants due to poor record keeping processes, delayed information and limited communication.
